A reminder from my dad (and Socrates)... 

Remember that there is nothing stable in human affairs; therefore  
avoid undue elation in prosperity, or undue depression in adversity.  
~ Socrates

This seems to be a key lesson for me these days, not getting attached 
to what feels great, and not getting fatalistic about what feels bad.

And to aid me in that endeavor, today I looked at pictures of cosmic 
wonders, pictures from the Hubble Telescope.  They reminded me that 
there are so many things I don't know and don't understand, and I 
can just sit back in awe.
